Terms of Service

Effective 21 October 2026 · Applies to NextPlay Clip Studio and this website.

These Terms govern your use of NextPlay Clip Studio (“NextPlay”, “the app”) and this website. By installing, running, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What NextPlay does

NextPlay is a desktop studio that helps you import footage you own or have licensed, detect moments, render vertical clips, write captions, review a post, and publish it to your own TikTok account through TikTok's official Content Posting API. It also stores local performance data so you can see which edits worked.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter into a binding agreement. You must have a TikTok account in good standing and comply with TikTok's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

3. Your content and your rights

You are solely responsible for the footage, audio, captions, hashtags, and other material you import or publish with NextPlay. You represent and warrant that:

NextPlay does not grant you rights in any footage, music, or other third-party material. A licence filter in the app is a tool, not legal advice; you remain responsible for verifying that your use is permitted.

4. TikTok integration

Publishing uses TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API. By connecting your account, you authorize NextPlay to access the scopes you approve and to publish content you explicitly confirm. You can revoke access at any time in TikTok's settings.

Your use of TikTok is governed by TikTok's own terms and policies. NextPlay is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok. TikTok may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue its API at any time, and may rate-limit or reject posts. While an app is unaudited, TikTok restricts posting to private accounts and SELF_ONLY visibility; public posting requires TikTok's app audit.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use NextPlay to:

6. Your credentials

You are responsible for the TikTok developer credentials and OAuth tokens used by your copy of the app. Keep your client secret and token files private. If you believe they have leaked, revoke the app in TikTok and rotate the secret in the developer portal. NextPlay does not ask for your TikTok password.

7. Third-party services and links

The app and this website may link to third-party sites or services, including TikTok, footage archives, and font or media tools. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.

8. No warranty

NextPlay is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that a post will be accepted, published, recommended, or remain available on TikTok.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NextPlay and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, followers, revenue, data, footage, or account access, arising from your use of the app. This includes content removed by TikTok, account restrictions, and failures of the TikTok API. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NextPlay and its contributors from claims arising out of the content you publish, your use of the app, or your breach of these Terms or third-party rights.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms as the app or TikTok's requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We may suspend or discontinue the app at any time. You may stop using it at any time and delete your local data.
